BatWoman
If you haven’t checked it out.
J. H. Williams III artwork on Batwoman is simply stunning.
Totally inspired me to try my own take on her.
A quick dripping ink sketch in the middle of the day.
This is the stretch before my Game of Thrones drawing
I have planned for later tonight.
I never could see her eyes.
I’ve been woking on this drawing here and there
for the last week, thinking of making it into a wood cut.
I call her… Nemesis
Truth be known, I was thinking about Orpheus and Eurydice.
Then I started remembering about poor Sisyphus.
So I rewatched Tron legacy.
Giants? There are Giants in GOT!
Game of Thrones is back and they brought Giants with them.
Giants that speak the Old Tongue of the First Men.
Giants who ride into battle on the back of mammoths
and use trees as weapons.
I will be drawing this.
Cloak without Dagger
Tyrone “Ty” Johnson is Cloak from the Marvel Universe.
He has the ability to create an aperture into the dimension of darkness.
I was in an Alphonse Mucha mood today.
The man drew woman’s hair and dresses.. effortlessly
He extended line into fluid.
GORDON’S ALIVE!
Brian Blessed
Flash Gordon (1980)
I always thought Brian Blessed should be in a movie
based on the gods of greek mythology where the only actor is Brian Blessed
and he plays every single role.
General Klytus
Flash Gordon (1980)
“An obscure body in the S-K system, your Majesty.
The inhabitants refer to it as the planet… “Earth.”
-General Klytus
Emperor Ming the Merciless
Some of Max von Sydow most memorable film roles are
Ming the Merciless, Knight Antonius Block,
Father Merrin, King Osric, Doctor Kynes,
and Jesus in the greatest story ever told.
von Sydow has cast a large shadow upon the cinematic scene.
Dark City
1998 neo-noir science fiction film
set in a city of perpetual night.
With beings who have mastered the ultimate technology.
The ability to alter physical reality by will alone.
They called this ability “Tuning”.
Daniel P. Schreber, M.D.
Dark City (1998)
“You are probably wondering why I keep appearing in your memories, John.
It is because I have inserted myself into them.”
-Dr. Schreber
